Petaluma, CA is a city with a small town feel. I have lived here now with my family for about 6 years. Originally from the east coast, I fell in love at first site with the charm and people of Petaluma. Even in this short time here, we have experienced many community joys, and unfortunate losses. Each one seems to bring people together in ways that help and make a difference. It never ceased to amaze me. Until now… now I am amazed!
There is a 19 year old unnamed male dressed as batman doing kind deeds all around the city. He has raised money for charity, brightened the eyes of our children, and is making a difference in the lives of others. His sudden “calling” was soon after the death of yet another young adult in Petaluma, his friend. We are all still tender from this loss. However, this batman has encouraged people, especially children, with the message that a hero can be anyone who does good deeds for others. At least this is the message I get so far. He is partnering with schools and charities to continue his work not asking for anything in return. Looking forward to hearing more good news about this guy. He might be just what we needed.
Check him out for yourself on his personal Facebook page under Petaluma Batman.
