PetAid Colorado – the healthcare safety net for pets – is conducting a matching campaign to raise funds for the PetAid Animal Hospital Angel Fund through the end of 2014. Donations made to the Angel Fund during the campaign are being matched by an anonymous donor and the Animal Assistance Foundation for up to $235,000.
PetAid Animal Hospital, a program of PetAid Colorado, provides discounted veterinary care exclusively to income-qualified pet owners. When initial discounts are not enough to support families with the greatest need, the Angel Fund offers them additional subsidies so their beloved pets can receive essential medical care.
The matching campaign was first made possible through an anonymous donation of $50,000, which was gifted with the stipulation that the fund be matched by overall giving to the Angel Fund. The Animal Assistance Foundation (AAF) awarded PetAid a grant for $185,000 to further support the campaign and increased the amount of money that can be matched to a total of $235,000 through the end of 2014
Every donation made to the Angel Fund changes the life of a pet and its family by providing critical veterinary care, despite any financial hardships the owner(s) may be facing. This essential fund is entirely funded by generous donors concerned about animal welfare and preserving the animal-human bond.
Donations to the Angel Fund can be made online, over the phone, or by mail.
Donations can be taken over the phone by calling 303.539.7267 or by mail with a check made payable to PetAid Colorado and addressed to 191 Yuma St. Denver, CO 80223.
