It is estimated by the APPA that Americans will spend about $55.53 billion in 2013 on their pets; yet pet homelessness remains a major problem. The ASPCA estimates the number of feral cats alone to be in the tens of millions.
Pet Valu views Pet Appreciation Weekend as a chance to build awareness and raise much needed funds for local animal agencies and services.
