The Genesee County Animal Shelter is holding an Adoption Event today February 15, 2014 at Magoo's Outlet. located at 3314 South Linden Rd, Flint. Mi.

The Event will continue from 12pm - 3pm Eastern Time.

Many of these pets have been living at the shelter for weeks, looking for an forever home. Loving dogs and cats, puppies and kittens are relying on you to provide them with a forever home.

Recently the shelter has been going through some changes to help eliminate all the euthanasia that has been long publicized about the shelter. Stepheni Lazar the Interim Chief of the shelter reported back in January 2014 that she received death threats, along with 2 break in's that investigators say are not related.

Animal right advocates and volunteers at the the shelter have had disagreements in the past over the care and living conditions of the animals at the shelter. They are both working towards making the shelter better for the sake of the animals living at the shelter.

Genesee County Animals in Need of Homes and Rescue (find them on Facebook) have been doing everything they can to find forever homes for the animals at the shelter. Help them out today by visiting Magoo's on Linden Rd and adopting one of the many pets they will have available at the pet store.

As a reminder the Animals Shelter will be closed on Monday Feb. 17, 2014 in honor of Presidents Day.
