Gallagher is ready for adoption from Coastal Pet Rescue Possom is ready at the HS for Greater Savannah
“Savannah Rescue Spotlight” is a rescue dog or cat from a local shelter that is in need of adoption. The featured rescue’s are as follows:
- Gallagher is at the Coastal Pet Rescue. Gallagher will make you laugh and he won't even have to smash watermelons. He was born on January 1, 2009. Their mom is a collie mix, but we don't know anything about their dad. He will grow to be about 40 pounds. Gallagher is a fun loving pup that loves to run and play. He is a bit shy at first but quickly warms up. He has never met a stranger. He is looking for a home that has a fenced yard and another dog as a companion would be great! He has alot of love to give and would like to have a family that will return that love in kind. Although he is listed as a collie/lab mix, there sure is some greyhound in him somewhere. Gallagher says pick me!........you won't be disappointed. A little shy at first, this handsome boy will steal the show. He was rescued on March 16th, 2009. This poor soul needs a furever home, not a foster home.
- Possum is at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah. She is young and full of life! Possum will need someone who can exercise and play with her daily. Possum is housebroken and very social. Her adoption fee is $100. This includes: being current on all vaccinations & heartworm prevention, spaying, microchipping, a free vet exam, and Sheltercare pet insurance for 30 days. Application must be submitted between March 7th - March 13th or her adoption fee goes to $150.
"Pet Pages" Photo contest #32 is here! Each week there are five photos for the readers to look at and vote on. Take a few minutes and look at the cute and adorable pictures from the readers of their pets and cast your vote. This contest will end at midnight on Sunday. If your pet is chosen as one of the first three voted as the best then you will receive an email asking for a description of the pet(s) or picture. Your 3-5 sentence paragraph will be directly quoted in a featured article the following week after all responses are in. Send your picture today to dstapleton2003@comcast.net and put "Pet Pages photo contest" in the subject line. I need pictures, because the picture bank is running low. I only have enough for two more weeks.
Good luck to all in the contest. Your pictures are great and I thank you all for participating.
