"Pet Pages" Savannah rescue spotlight and contest

Shelia at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah                 Jazzmine at the Coastal Pet Rescue

“Savannah Rescue Spotlight” is a rescue dog or cat from a local shelter that is in need of adoption. The featured rescue’s are as follows:

  • Shelia is at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah. As quoted from their site, “As you can see by the smile on Sheila's face, she is a happy girl. She is ready to solve the mystery of you....she will find out what she can do to make you smile, too. Sheila is housebroken, crate trained, and very social. She is friendly with puppies (especially when they want to jump onto and play with her), and has a few “playgroups” here at the shelter with other dogs. We recently found that she loves car rides—especially in a car with a sunroof. Sheila listens quite well—she knows basic commands, behaves in public and will only get onto furniture if she’s told to do so. She also loves being pampered—Sheila will sit very still for you to paint her toenails. We can also tell you that she’s definitely a cuddle-bug—she loves giving and receiving affection all the time! In regards to games, she loves playing with tennis balls and playing tug of war. Her adoption fee is $100. This includes: being current on all vaccinations & heartworm prevention, spaying, microchipping, a free vet exam, and Sheltercare pet insurance for 30 days. Application must be submitted between February 21st-February 27th.”
  • Jazzmine is at the Coastal Pet Rescue. As quoted on their site, “Jazzmine is such a sweet kitty, who loves people. This is a kitty who likes to spend her time resting in a sunny window and spending time with her people. She is housebroken and good with other cats. She is a Siamese mix and approx. 8 months old. She was rescued February 08, 2010 with her twin sister Filomina that were rescued from Chatham County Animal Control. Her adoption fee is $80 and it includes her shots, spaying, microchip, 30 days pet insurance, and training DVDs.”
