We have the winners to the “Pet Pages” photo contest #30. Congratulations to each and every one of you. Here is what we all have been waiting for, the results.
1st Place – “Ok, I did it! But look at my face, and tell me I’m in trouble” This picture was sent in by P. Meinke. This is what she had to say about the picture, “My husband and I were pulling dogs from a West Virginia Shelter for another rescue when I spotted Rolly, a 13 year old blind and deaf Peke mix. The shelter were going to euthanize him as the felt he was not adoptable. My husband and I felt that we could not let this happen to such a sweet little boy. So when we pulled the other dogs, we asked to take Rolly also. Even though he was deaf and blind, Rolly was always happy. If you came over and started petting him his tail would wag a mile a minute. He never growled or snapped the 6 years we were lucky to spend with him. Unfortunately, we lost our precious Rolly to a very rare pancreatic tumor on February 5th, 2010. He may be gone, but he will always live on in our hearts!”
Thanks for sending such a cute picture. He just had that look like he really could get into no trouble. This photo won 47% of the votes.

2nd Place – “Hey look at me, I’m flying like the seagulls. I’m flying! Weeeee” This picture was sent in by F. Mallon. This is what she had to say about the picture, “Evanlake Nowhere Man, CGC, TDI, “Newman”. Newman is a beautiful 3 year old, male, Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is my first small dog ever and he is my joy and constant companion. He is a wonderful therapy dog and has been to many hospitals, nursing homes and schools. He votes in the booth with me twice a year. He has been a teaching dog in the Camden County College Veterinary Technology Program since the age of 4 months. The students love him and he is so patient with them. He never met a student he did not kiss. He passed his CGC and TDI only 4 days after his first birthday. His breeder named him “Newman” because of his chubby cheeks when he was born, as in HELLO NEWMAN! from Seinfeld. The wonderful picture of him running on the beach was taken by Cal Sampson of Still Motion Photography in Cape May Court House, NJ. This picture really captures the happy nature of Newman.”
Thanks for sending such a great photo. He looked like he was having a blast running on the beach. Dogs just love the water. This photo came in with 40% of the votes.
