Rescue "Twilight" From Coastal Pet Rescue Rescue "LaStonia" from Humane Society of Greater Savannah
"Pet Pages" Photo contest #29 is here! Each week there are five photos for the readers to look at and vote on. Take a few minutes and look at the cute and adorable pictures from the readers of their pets and cast your vote. This contest will end at midnight on Sunday. If your pet is chosen as one of the first three voted as the best then you will receive an email asking for a description of the pet(s) or picture. Your 3-5 sentence paragraph will be directly quoted in a featured article the following week after all responses are in. Send your picture today to dstapleton2003@comcast.net and put "Pet Pages photo contest" in the subject line.
“Savannah Rescue Spotlight” is a rescue dog or cat from a local shelter that is in need of adoption. The featured rescue’s are as follows:
- The featured rescue is Twilight from the Coastal Pet Rescue. She is black as the night but her personality is as sunny as the day. She came to us with 4 kittens in tow. She had to have been dumped at an apartment complex when she got pregnant. If you want a mellow buddy at your side, Twilight is the one. Approx. Age is 1 year and she was rescued November 21, 2009. Her activity level is low and she weighs under 10 lbs. She is housebroken, good with other cats and children. Her shots are current, she has been spayed and microchipped. Her adoption is $80.
- The featured rescue is LaStonia from the Humane Society of Greater Savannah. She was found inside of some hollow cement blocks on the property. We don't know how she got there, but we know that she has not let her bring her down. She is very friendly and affectionate, and gets along great with other dogs. Please consider coming by to see her. Her adoption fee is $100. This includes: being current on all vaccinations & heartworm prevention, neutering, microchipping, a free vet exam, and Sheltercare pet insurance for 30 days. (Application must be submitted between February 14th-February 20th).
Good luck to all in the contest. Your pictures are great and I thank you all for participating.

Beautiful boy!
The most wonderful photo of two very loving dogs and such a unique and creative shot! Gets my vote!
Again, what a great picture
Hello everyone. I just love all the photos. Each one is great although the little puppy in the hand just warms the heart. The one with the backrub doggies is just plain cute and such a great shot to get. I know there is no back rubbin going on but it still looks that way. You have to love the love people have for their pets and it shows in the pictures we take of them.
