All residents within the city of Las Vegas are required to license their pets, including dogs, cats and ferrets. Pets over four months of age need to have a current rabies vaccination. The license provides proof of ownership, identification should your pet get lost and proof of rabies vaccination.
To obtain a license for a new pet or to renew an existing license, you can go online at:
http://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/Apply/licenses.asp?ID=5559#
The Animal License Application is also now online and can be downloaded from:
http://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/files/animal_license_application.pdf
New licenses expire after one year after purchase and renewal licenses expire one year from the prior license’s expiration.
