Amenities include unique pet packages, furry freebies and insider information about nearby parks, dog sitters, walking and grooming services, special doggie bakeries and pet-friendly restaurants. Visitors traveling without pets can opt for Kimpton's Guppy Love at 22 participating hotels, where guests can borrow a goldfish friend during their stay (hotel staff feed and take care of the fish).

Hotel Marlowe near Boston offers a package including a doggie bed or scratching post for cats. Both dogs and cats receive a basket of gourmet treats and a cozy fleece blanket. Pooches celebrating a birthday will also receive a cake from Polka Dog Bakery.
At the Hotel Allegro in Chicago, four-legged guests receive the star treatment with a bed, food and water bowls, plus a sWag bag of water, snacks and a keepsake leash. Pet owners receive a copy of Dog Massage: A Whiskers-to-Tail Guide to Your Dog's Ultimate Petting Experience. And $5 per reservation is donated to the Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago.
Beyond the basics of pet beds, bowls and chew toys, Miami's EPIC Hotel offers dogs and their human companions a stuffed toy welcome gift, plus a choice of two of the following services: "Pawdicure & Shampoo" treatment, one hour of daily play time, one hour of dog walking at Flamingo Bark Park, or a massage for two humans. Companions also receive daily continental breakfast for two in the restaurant.
