Pet events for Mothers' Day weekend

I'm sure many of you will be busy celebrating your mothers this weekend but there's always a little time to spare for pets in need. Petshop Puppies will be holding rallies both Saturday and Sunday. They want people to remember that behind every cute puppy in the pet shop, there is a mother dog who is in need of love, vet care and a life without bars. Saturday, they will rally at the Uncle Bill's in Fishers from 10-11:30 AM. After that, they will be at the East side store on East Washington Street from 12:30-2 PM. On Mothers Day, they will be rallying at the Greenwood Uncle Bills from 11 AM-12:30 PM. These rallies are an excellent way to help educate people about the mothers left behind in the mills. The rallies are peaceful, legal and family friend. Signs and banner are provided for you. Please do not park in the Uncle Bill's lots or they can and will have your car towed.

German Shepherd Rescue Indy is having a "Meet Creed" event also on Saturday. Creed was hit by a car and required major surgery and rehab to save him. Now that he's feeling better, he would like to give kisses to his supporters. Creed will be at the Happy Dog Spa and Hotel in Carmel from 3-6 PM. It is very close to the Monon so take your friendly, vaccinated dog and do some walking either before or after you meet Creed.

Also on Saturday, the Dairy Queen on Rangeline Road in Carmel is hosting "Fluffy Friends Day" from noon-3 PM. All proceeds will benefit the Humane Society for Hamilton County.
