Pet Connection plans supply drive and fundraising event

Pet Connection Programs Inc., a maternity and special care animal shelter located in Marilla, will hold two upcoming events to gather greatly needed supplies and raise funds for the organization.

A supply drive will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Petco store located at 330 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca. The nonprofit shelter is in constant need of the following items:
• Science Diet dry puppy food
• Instant white rice
• Canned cat and puppy food (without gravy)
• Jars of baby food (chicken or turkey)
• Paper towels
• Newspapers (newsprint only, no inserts)
• Bleach
• Cat litter
• Cat and puppy toys
• Cash donations to offset vet bills

Pet Connection will also host a Chicken BBQ and Basket Auction beginning at noon Saturday, March 2, at the East Aurora Moose Lodge, 905 Main St., East Aurora, near the 400 Expressway.

The chicken dinners from BW’s Barbecue are take-out only and cost $9. Dinners will include a half BBQ chicken, creamy corn bake, mashed potatoes, homemade noodle salad, roll and dessert. Dinners can be reserved in advance by calling 652-0192.
