Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza, a man of color, a Christian, had the audacity to tell the truth (in his film '2016: Obama's America') about Barack Obama. Consequently, he is being persecuted under trumped up charges of 'violating federal campaign laws.' Likewise, Tea Party members have had the audacity to follow the Constitution of the United States of America, and they've received the tyrannical boot of the IRS. Religiously minded Americans, moreover, are also included in this all out hate party as the HHS mandate--from the gift that keeps on giving, in Obamacare--forces them to pay for abortifacients against their freely formed religious consciences.
When are we going to say 'enough is enough?'
Today is the feast of the conversion of St. Paul.
Contrasting the tyranny of the Obama administration with the converting Mercy of God is an easy task in light of recent events. While Obama's minions have been pressuring 'the Little Sisters of the Poor' to pay for abortions against their will, God continues to forgive, and change, sinful Saul's to saintly Paul's through freely offered grace. While God inspires a man of color, Dinesh D'Souza, to speak the truth, and work for the unity of all peoples, the Obama administration, led by a man of color, seeks to stir up class warfare in the name of economic redistribution, socialism, and a progressive 'social justice.'
God inspires unity in diversity--Obama, and his minions, start wars because of diversity.
This leaves us with a choice. Do we cave to the pressure of the tyrannical? Most of us would say no! Do we fight fire with fire? Jesus would have us do otherwise.
So, what is there left to do.
We must, like Dinesh D'Souza, bring truth to light. We must, through the diversity of our Christianity, unite in the common cause of peace, justice, and truth. This can only be done, however, through the one uniting divine reality, made humanly perfect in Jesus Christ.
This would be the Way of the Cross.
St. Paul felt its effects on the Way to Damascus. Let's let the Obama administration feel the same.
