Many of us have a decent respect for our environment. Living along the gulf coast we have our lands , our streams , rivers and bayous as well as our oceans.
Some folks would live their lives indoors in the comfort of their air conditioning , in front of their television, venturing outside if only to get in their car to drive to work, surrounded by office cubicles and walls.
Even if these people choose not to enjoy the outdoors , the sky , the land , the rivers and oceans , still they depend upon them as all of us to. for it it the air , the land and the waters that gives us our food which we live on each day.
And that is now environmental pollution affects each and every one of us , pollution by individuals , pollution by corporations, pollution is pollution. A disease which enters into our food chains and eventually enters into each of us.
Our congress has seen the life threathning effects of pollution and has enacted laws to protect " we the people " so that we can live healthy lives, free from contaminats that poison our bodies and shorten our life spans.
Each of us has the power to protect ourselves from these affects , but at what cost ? Over the next few articles i will publish what happens to people who report environmental pollution and the affects on their lives from a first hand account of a actual " Environmental Whistleblower " who was a federal witness against a major corporation pollutting our environment.
