Personal development with Steve Pavlina

Author Steve Pavlina's new book, Personal Development for Smart People: The Conscious Pursuit of Personal Growth, suggests a model of self-improvement based on a total of seven principles: truth, love, power, oneness, authority, courage, and intelligence.

According to Pavlina, the primary universal principles associated with personal growth are truth, love, and power. Derived from these are the following secondary related concepts:

  • Truth + Love = Oneness
  • Truth + Power = Authority
  • Power + Love = Courage

Intelligence, therefore, is the result of your personal alignment with truth, power, and love.

These basic principles can be utilized in all life areas, such as health, finances, relationships, and career. With a foundation of integrity, inner power, and love, your personal development journey becomes a conscious and creative  process to learn, grow, and fulfill your human potential.

I discoverd Steve Pavlina's writing last year. I look forward to reading more about his system of personal development in his new book. I recently finished Lisa Nichols' new book "No Matter What!" which was refreshingly inspirational. After reading her book I've been practicing to strenthen my various "muscles" to help me move out of my comfort zone and to embrace new opportunities.
