Atlus has announced its lineup of software products to be shown off for E3 2014. According to a report from Hardcore Gamer on June 5, the publisher will be showing off several video games from the "Persona" franchise. However, it appears that "Persona 5" won't be a part of the gaming convention.

Although the sequel was announced late last year, Atlus has remained quiet on the project. "Persona 5" is currently slated to come out for the PS3 in late 2014 in Japan as well as 2015 in North America. An image from the teaser trailer from the official Atlus USA Facebook page can be viewed near the top of this article.

"Persona" fans still have plenty to look forward to, however, with "Persona 4 Arena Ultimax," "Persona 4: Dancing All Night" and "Persona Q" being planned for E3 2014. Furthermore, the publisher will also be showing off "Abyss Odyssey" and "Citizens of Earth." An unannounced video game for the PC, Vita and PS4 platofms is also being planned for the gaming convention.

Although some fans want Atlus to also release "Persona 5" on PS4, the company appears to be keeping the original release on the PS3. The development team did end up porting the previous two games of the series to handheld systems. "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable" was released for the PSP in 2009 while "Persona 4: Golden" came out in 2012. Both games were also made available for the PS3 as PS2 Classics re-releases.

Sony Computer Entertainment is offering a Playstation Now game streaming service in which players can play games from other platforms on devices such as the PS4. As a result, fans may be able to play "Persona 5" and other PS3 games on PS4. The console manufacturer has been testing the streaming service, which has an expected full release slated for later this year in the North American region.
