On March 8, news broke that “Persona 2: Eternal Punishment” will be made available for download in the PlayStation Store for Vita and PSP owners on March 12. This makes it possible to purchase the entirety of the Persona series on the PlayStation Vita.
The PSOne Classic was made available in February, with the intention of being purchased for PlayStation 3, PSP, and PS Vita. However, “Persona 2: Eternal Punishment” could only be played on the PlayStation 3, with no fix for Sony’s handheld consoles. The game was later patched to work on Vita and PSP, but it had to be transferred from a PlayStation 3. After weeks of waiting, “Persona 2: Eternal Punishment” is finally being added to the store on the portable devices.
This is not the first issue to arise with PlayStation One Classics on the Vita. Some games work, while others do not, with no clear explanation for why.
