'Persona 2: Eternal Punishment' comes to PlayStation Network

On Feb. 25, an announcement was made on the PlayStation Blog confirming that “Persona 2: Eternal Punishment” will be making its way to the PS Store. This news comes in just two weeks after we found ESRB ratings for the PlayStation 1 title, for PlayStation 3 and PSP. The game has been rated T, once again, for “animated blood, strong language, and suggestive themes.” The PlayStation Blog doesn’t list a price for the title, and the game arrives on the North American PS Store tomorrow, Feb. 26.

“Eternal Punishment” takes place on the other side of “Innocent Sin”. A demonic trickster called the Joker curses Sumaru City with a curse that has the ability to turn rumor into face, which causes a ton of trouble. Gruesome murders begin to fill the land, and the principal of Seven Sisters High School just happens to be one of the victims. Maya Amano, a reporter for a popular magazine is on the case. Maya sets out on an engaging RPG adventure filled with fun twists and scary monsters, hunting down the Joker.

It is currently unknown whether or not “Eternal Punishment” is coming to other regions, but European fans of the series can at least keep busy with “Persona 4 Golden”, which just released in the region last week.
