'Person of Interest' reached series high

The numbers never stopped coming for Person of Interest.

On January 3, the sophomore hit scored a series high of 16.14 million viewers, a 17% increase from its fall finale, where Mr. Reese (Jim Caviezel) gets captured by the FBI.

Thursday's new episode finds our modern-day Batman (without the mask) in a "Prisoner's Dilemma" when Carter (Taraji P. Henson) tries to protect his identity as "the man in a suit", as Reese encounters old and new enemies -- including crime boss Elias--, while Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson) makes a daring move to break his partner and friend out of prison: leaving Detective Fusco (Kevin Chapman) to protect the latest "person of interest": supermodel Karolina Kurkova.

According to last month's press release from CBS, Person of Interest has become the fastest-growing show on television -- currently the fifth most-watched show of the 2012-13 season with an average of 16.87 million viewers, and you'll see why with a repeat from season one aired on a special time tonight at 8pm, as Reese and Finch must solve an "Identity Crisis" involving two people with the same last name: one male, one female.

Created by Jonathan Nolan and J.J Abrams, Person of Interest follows a former spy and a shadowy billionaire working in secret to prevent violent crimes in New York.

The show airs Thursdays at 9pm on CBS; season one is available on Blu-Ray and DVD.
