A man who was a “person of interest” in a Daytona Beach Police homicide investigation has been found dead in Key West. A report on the Daytona Beach Police Department website says a woman parking her car noticed the body of 56-year old Thomas L. Tomkiewicz lying face-down between two buildings shortly before 8 Sunday morning. Police say his death is under investigation and that Key West officers are continuing to look for his car.

Daytona Beach Police were looking for Tomkiewicz in connection with the “suspicious death” of 55-year old Ann Marie Antonaccio, found dead at her home on Vermont Avenue on the beachside Thursday, April 10th. Police said she was found deceased in her bed after officers were asked to conduct a well-being check at her home. Police later reported that the cause of death was “…knife injuries to the throat” and that she had been dead for several days when officers found her. Tomkiewicz, the woman’s boyfriend, was sought after he had been reportedly seen leaving the house and driving the woman’s car. Police say the vehicle was a 1999 white Toyota four-door with Florida tag J74-OHM.
