The Fall TV season is unfolding as TV fans return to their favorite shows. The CBS action/drama “Person of Interest” can be seen each Tuesday evening at 10/9 p.m. Last night's episode Oct. 1, 2013 was called, “Nothing to Hide.” It garnered a huge 12.16 million TV viewers & nabbed 2.0 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 age demographic. “Person” stars Jim Caviezel (John Reese), Taraji P. Henson (Detective Joss Carter), Kevin Chapman (Detective Lionel Fusco), Michael Emerson (Harold Finch) & new regular cast member Sarah Shahi (Samantha Shaw).
According to the official website of “Person of Interest” the synopsis is right here. It is - “a crime thriller about a presumed dead former-CIA agent (John) Reese - who teams up with a mysterious billionaire (Harold) Finch - to prevent violent crimes by using their own brand of vigilante justice. Reese's special training in covert operations appeals to Finch, a software genius who invented a program that uses pattern recognition to identify people about to be involved in violent crimes.”
You are being watched by the government. There are cameras everywhere. The episode “Nothing to Hide” opens with detective Joss Carter visiting the grave of the man who was shot & killed last TV season which she was blamed for. Carter was downgraded to a NYC police cop & is still being watched by the people who framed her.
John Reese, Harold Finch & Samantha Shaw are getting to know each other personally as they closely work together. Their next assignment is an internet entreprenuer named Wayne Kruger who gains people's information at the company he founded called “Life Trace.” He sells that information to outside parties. Samantha follows Wayne & connects to his “iphone” via portable “wi-fi.” She listens in on his meeting with his colleagues. Harold asks detective Carter to check Wayne's record. She cannot find anything as she is introduced to her new cop partner.
They are all connected via audio as John & Samantha follow Wayne to his wedding anniversary party. Wayne said he had nothing to hide, but as the video collage of his marriage plays. He is seen cheating on his wife with another woman. She slaps him across the face & leaves the party. Someone is stalking Walter by gathering his information from the internet.
There is a class action lawsuit against “Life Trace” by several victims of Wayne Kruger. An unknown person is using Wayne's information against him. He is removed by the board of the company he founded. High profile business clients also pull out of deals with “Life Force.” Wayne's personal past comes back to haunt him on the internet as he loses everything.
Harold, John & Samantha try to find out who is exposing Wayne's life before it comes to death. Can the team help Wayne from this unknown source? Will the victims of Wayne follow through on their lawsuit? Can detective Joss Carter climb her way back to her regular job? Is there a vigilante movement against the government for watching the American people?
