I’ve been to Perry’s Cafe too many times to... but I feel compelled to re-review this place now and again just because I find myself so moved to beat up the band (wagon) for their service to the public.
Once in a while I’ve gone to Perry’s with great anticipation and come away disappointed but not usually. One of the winning cords associated with this place is their consistency. They are known for:
• Fast service no matter how busy they are
• They seat you a.s.a.p.; offer you drinks; give you a menu; take the order; and serve your food; offer you a bottomless cup; give you a bill and give you a serious smile
• The food is nearly always great tasting, and one plate will feed you today and tomorrow
• It’s just a great place to invest limited dollars for good quality
So Saturday Nancy and I went to Perry’s Cafe, located at 475 N Magnolia Ave. in El Cajon and as usual we were completely satisfied with a breakfast to savor and to remember.
Nancy typically does the Mexican side of the menu and I find it hard to pass on the sausage, egg, hash browns, and toast with coffee. Be advised, bring a small cooler with blue ice if you’re not going right home because you’re not likely to finish your meal and you won’t want to leave it on the plate when you leave.
I believe I’ve eaten the full range of breakfast foods offered by Perry’s and I’m yet to find anything on the menu that I disliked. I do admit that if I’m feeling like the basic bacon and eggs, Perry’s is my go to place.
Perry’s Cafe offers breakfast and lunch only and though it does get packed they are quick enough that you probably won’t need to wait.
This place is good and I will return.
