Perla del Mar offers milder Nicaraguan flavor

J.C. Newman Cigar Company launches new Nicaraguan cigar brand

Perla del Mar is a line of exquisite box pressed Nicaraguan cigars featuring a silky Ecuador Connecticut wrapper. Made in the same boutique factory, Fabrica de Tabacos San Rafael S.A., which produces the highly rated Brick House and El Baton cigars, Perla del Mar offers a diverse blend of 100% Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos.

“Flavorful Nicaraguan cigars like our Brick House brand have become very popular. However, the dark Havana Seed wrappers tend to produce a bolder smoke that is not for everyone,” said J.C. Newman President, Eric Newman. “Our Perla del Mar cigars offer the best of both worlds. The smooth creamy flavor of a Connecticut wrapper with the interesting, complex flavors of Nicaraguan filler and binder. This is a cigar you could enjoy daily.”

The filler and binder tobaccos have been selected from four different distinct regions in Nicaragua, Pueblo Nuevo, LA Reina, Condega and Jalapa. When paired with the mild, creamy shade wrapper, this mixture provides a lighter, fresher flavor with the depth of flavor and complexities cigar smokers have come to enjoy in Nicaraguan tobacco.

“We don’t take new product launches lightly. A lot of time, thought and effort over the past three years has gone into Perla del Mar, said J.C. Newman Executive Vice President, Bobby Newman. “We are very excited to bring this unique cigar to market to add to our highly rated Nicaraguan portfolio.”

Perla del Mar is available in four vitolas: Perla P (3 ¾ x 56) MSRP $4.65 Box of 28, Perla M (4 ¾ x 52) MSRP $5.00 Box of 20, Perla G (6 ¼ x 52) MSRP $5.65 and Perla TG (6 x 60) MSRP $6.15 Box of 20
