For those of you who are still struggling with when Aunt Flow comes to town and not quite sure why all the sudden you want to laugh, cry and then rip someone's head off... well, technology has once again improved women's lives with the period tracker app. And guys, this might be helpful for you to be a little more ... tender to her at these times and help keep tabs too.
Simply an app you can download on any Android or iPhone, it keeps tabs on your menstrual cycle so you don't have to. And let's face it, nowadays with juggling so many responsibilities, who has time to sit and count? On a recent trip to the hospital to get some routine X-rays done, the nurse asked when was my last period. Instead of struggling to answer and go through the weeks in my head, I just pulled out my phone and checked the calendar and had an exact date to give. The woman chuckled and said how everyone is using those apps now.
With so many of them out there, which ones are good to use? Well, here is a FREE list to help keep you sane (I mean women have to pay for so many "sanitary" things already, why pay more?).
• Period Tracker by GP International LLC (FREE) shows a lovely pink flower on your screen's desktop. Hey, it's better than a kitten with rainbows. It has a symptoms, moods, notes and ovulation prediction cycle and an average day calculator.
• Period Calendar/Tracker by ABISHKKING (FREE) also has a flower on a pink diary. This one has an add symptoms and body temperature feature with a lovely little poop icon. It also has an average cycle option.
There are tons more out there to go through with great ratings but these two seems to be the most popular with the best ratings. Some are helpful for what to expect when expecting and go through each phase through pregnancy to birth, others are more focused on ovulation. Find one that works best for you and next time your doctor asks, it will be a breeze.
