Performers added to ‘The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards’

SPIN got the word out on Jan. 14, 2014 that new additions have been announced to perform at “The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards” including Keith Urban, Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have also been added to the performers list.

The pair will be receiving the 2014 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award that is being presented to The Beatles during the ceremony taking place on CBS beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST Jan. 26, 2014 live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Swift heads into the award show with four nominations including Album Of The Year, Best Country Album, Best Country Song for "Begin Again" and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Highway Don't Care" with Tim McGraw and Urban.

Musgraves has also earned four nominations for Best New Artist and Best Country Album plus she received two nominations in the Best Country Song category for "Mama's Broken Heart" with Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally and "Merry Go 'Round" with McAnally and Josh Osborne.

Musgraves hit her Facebook page to say “SO. EXCITED. Tune in and catch me & the boys perform at The GRAMMYs on January 26th!! Airs on CBS. #Grammys #ohmygoodness” after the announcement was made that she will be performing on the big night.
