Perfectly Imperfect Dog Adoption

On Sunday July 20th and Sunday July 27th, from 12 - 4 pm, Peninsula Unwanted Pets (P.U.P.S) will hold their Christmas in July adoption event at the Pet Zoo on Dimond Blvd. in Anchorage.

This special adoption is focusing on perfectly imperfect pups with varying handicaps. They are hoping to find someone with the Christmas spirit to overlook their disabilities and see how perfectly lovable they are. Too often people overlook these special dogs because of their medical needs. Every dog deserves to have a good life in a loving home, and should not be overlooked in animal shelters because of a disability. A disability doesn’t necessarily mean the pet will be harder to care for, and certainly won’t make him any less loveable. Most often the cost of caring for these dogs is no more than our aspirin or Almond milk

P.U.P.S is dedicated to finding homes for high risk shelter and homeless pets with little hope for a future. P.U.P.S. works tirelessly to help those shelter animals find homes, rescues, wonderful fosters and ultimately a home of their own. P.U.PS. specializes in small breed rescue and is based in Seward Alaska. In Alaska there is a large population large breed dogs available for adoption but few small breed dog like in the lower 48 states. If you are unable to adopt a dog at this time consider donating to PUPS. Donations are always needed and greatly appreciated to allow them to continue their work. They can come in the form of financial aid or items such as towels, blankets or pet food etc. For more information contact P.U.P.S. at http://pupsrescueak.com/

Come down this and next Sunday and possibly bring home your next family member.
