The eyebrows set the stage of someone's face. Most women must understand that the perfect arch is not imposible. There are many options for brows. This season for Spring 2013, a strong brow is back and its bigger and bolder than ever.
To achieve a perfext arch, first you should allow your eyebrows to grow out as much as they can. There are many options including tattooing, tweezing, threading and waxing. All of these techniques are great, but can be hazardous if not done correctly. Here are some tips for each technique and some advice on eyebrow maintenance.
Tattooing should be done only if the hairs on your brows do not fully grow in. Also, this would be ideal for someone who doesnt have the time to always use a pencil or shadow. The look should be natural and the artist should follow the natural shape of your eyebrow.
Tweezing is great for touch ups in between eyebrow maintenance. Be careful not to pluck to much because this can lead to redness and irritation. Always make sure that your tweezers are sanitized and have a sharp point. I reccomentd Tweezerman for eyebrow plucking.
Threading has become very popular over the last few years. It is a tradition that involves using thread instead of wax. I personally prefer this technique if you have full brows. It lasts longer than traditional waxing and its less expensive.
Waxing is the most popular way of controlling brows. The technician should be careful not to "chop" the end or the "tail" of your brow off. I would recommend that the brow technician start first by combing the hairs on the brow upward and then trim them with scissors. Next, apply the wax to the top of the brow and underneath and follow the natural arch. Tweezing can be done for stray hairs instead of reapplying wax to the brow over again. This can cause the brows to get thinner and change its natural shape. Remember to always wax in between the eyes to avoid a unibrow. Have the technician follow up with using aloe vera or an after waxing coolant to prevent inflammation.
