This South Florida company offers beautiful wedding invitations to compliment your personality and event. In addition, Papery & Cakery will soon be offering wedding cakes as well. Read on to learn more about this company and how Papery & Cakery just might be the perfect place for your wedding stationary.
Q. What is Papery & Cakery?
A. Papery & Cakery is an exclusive stationery design boutique. We offer papers, invitations & stationery for save the dates, wedding invitations, rehearsal dinners, showers, and thank you notes. We also provide place cards, menu cards, programs, gift bags, ribbon, favors, and chic bridesmaid gifts. We work by appointment only so each appointment is very individualized.
Q. How do you help couples find the perfect wedding invitation?
A. Finding the perfect invitation is unique to each wedding. Since we work by appointment only, it gives us the opportunity to work one-on-one with couples to help them select something impeccable! I usually start out by asking couples to describe their wedding. We discuss the location, colors, flowers and the design aesthetic that the couple is trying to convey.
Papery & Cakery features three elegant display boards with invitations from many of our different elite vendors. I usually suggest that the couple peruse the boards and point out things that they like and/or dislike. We carry numerous vendors in an array of printing methods. Couples then look through our books, and bookmark different invitations and designs that they are drawn to. We can also create a totally custom invitation.
The "perfect" invitation is something that matches the tone and setting of the wedding. Since the invitation is the first tangible thing that guests will receive, its important that it make the right first impression. We work with our couples to ensure that happens!

Q. What is the turn around time when ordering invitations? How long before they arrive?
A. It depends on both the invitation and the complexity of the design to determine how long the invitation will take to arrive. I suggest that the couple begin the selection process at least six months prior to the wedding. However, we can also easily accommodate rush orders.
Q. What types of paper and printing methods are used?
A. Papery & Cakery works with vendors who use an array of printing methods and papers. Our most popular printing method right now is letterpress. Letterpress is the oldest and most versatile method of printing. A place of the image is created and coated with ink. The plate is then pressed into a cotton paper, leaving an inked impression of the design. We also work with methods such as engraving, thermography, silk screening and off-set printing. We can accommodate a variety of budgets. Our vendors use tons of different papers--soft, hard, duplexed, in many different colors and textures. The sky is truly the limit!
Q. With many earth friendly couples these days, do you use any "eco-friendly" or "green" methods when printing invitations?
A. Papery & Cakery takes pride in featuring environmentally friendly vendors. Smock letterpress, one of our vendors, prints on a bamboo paper stock, a completely sustainable and renewable resource. Most of our vendors work with recycled papers and utilize soy based inks. Many of them also contribute to projects to offset their carbon footprint. We believe wholeheartedly in the importance of being green and work with many brides who have the same sentiments.

Q. What can you tell us about the price range of your invitations?
A. Invitations come in many different price ranges, depending on the printing method, complexity of the design, amount of colors, and amount of pieces needed. We accommodate a variety of wedding budgets.
Q. It looks like you will be offering wedding cakes from your web site. What can you tell us about the "Cakery" in Papery & Cakery?
A. The "cakery" will be premiering later this year. Right now its top secret information but look for updates on our blog and website soon!
