As a blogger focusing on celebrities, Perez Hilton has written about many births. On Wednesday, he wrote about one near and dear to his heart: Perez Hilton is now a father.
The famous gay blogger did not dish on many details when he said on his site Wednesday:

I am ready to announce that earlier this month I was blessed with the birth of my first child, a beautiful and healthy baby boy -- with lots of hair on his tiny head!
My family is overjoyed at this newest and most cherished addition.

Hilton, 34, was born Mario Lavandeira. Despite the fact that he dishes on some things that fellow celebrities might want kept hushed up, stars rushed to congratulate him, filling his Twitter stream with messages. Among them were:

He also made it clear that he'd prefer folks not send baby gifts. Instead, he urged well-wishers to donate to charity in lieu of presents.
There are, of course, some details missing, which is strange considering that Hilton usually does a good job digging up the dirt. Seriously, he hasn't dished on the "how," the "who," or the all-important detail: the baby's name.
We'd expect the name -- at least -- to be forthcoming.
