There had been Percy Harvin trade rumors floating around now for some time, but on March 11 ESPN reported that a deal has been made. Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Harvin is headed to the Seattle Seahawks.
The Percy Harvin trade is said to include a 2013 Seahawks first-round draft pick for the Vikings. In addition, Harvin needs to agree to a new contract for the deal to progress, and that is expected to happen within the next couple of days. ESPN says that Harvin will head to Seattle Monday night for undergo a physical. If all falls into place, the trade will be made official Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.
The Percy Harvin trade comes after months of speculation and indications from Harvin that he wanted out of Minnesota. The team and Percy seemed to work on moving forward after some rocky times last summer, but then he spent a solid part of the season injured. That said, he still had impressive stats for the season and it's not a surprise other teams would be willing to make a deal for him.
What do you think of the Percy Harvin trade to the Seattle Seahawks? Will it be a good fit for him? Had you been following the Percy Harvin trade rumors?
