Motherhood and career is a hot-button topic with staunch supporters on both sides of the issue and heated discussions to match. Can women have both a successful career and be a full-time mom? This question has made headlines recently when Indra Nooyi, the CEO of PepsiCo expressed her thoughts in a candid interview.

The CEO of PepsiCo recently expressed that while she was successful as a business woman, she indicated that if you ask her daughter, you just might get a very different answer. Even though she has personally attained success in business, she admitted that she did not believe women can “have it all”. A Mashable article shares he meat of the interview.

NBC’s “TODAY” show also took on this hot topic when they chose to tackle the question of motherhood and career woman. Kathie Lee Gifford expressed that women can have it all, they just can’t have it all at the same time. Martha Stewart also joined the conversation saying that she believes women cannot have it all.

Some women find themselves in a situation that offers no choice about her working. The money simply has to come from somewhere. However, is it possible for a woman to fulfill both roles with ease, or must she give up one for the other? If it is attainable, to have the best of both worlds, then moms do not need to pick one over the other; but she will need to either have an excellent support system between family, friends, and work, or learn how to juggle with ease.
