Pepperoni & Beef Sliders are the perfect combination of pizza and hamburger. You’ve got the spicy sweetness of the pepperoni, mixed with the juicy and ever flavorful beef patty. Recently, I made these little beauties for a slider party, and boy were they a hit!
Incredibly simple to make, and easily customizable for your purposes, this slider recipe is perfect for gatherings and weeknight meals.
- 1 ½ lb. lean ground beef
- 7oz. pepperoni, cut into slices
- ¼ cup chopped basil
- 1 tbsp, freshly minced garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
The pepperoni is the key ingredient to this recipe. Depending on what you’re looking for, sweet, spicy, mild, etc., your choice of pepperoni will dictate the final result. I like a little spice in my life, so I opted for a spicy pepperoni for my sliders.
Cut 7oz of peperoni into slices, and pules in a food processor until finely diced. If you have some slightly larger chunks in there, it’s ok. Then put all of the ingredients into a bowl, and mix together with your hands.
Form mixture into slider-sized patty’s, and place on parchment or wax paper lined tray. You can store these patties up to 6 hours in the refrigerator. Personally, I recommend grilling these puppies for the most flavor. However, you can also pan-fry, sear and bake, or however else you prefer your burgers to cook.
To create the end result, use Hawaiian style slider buns (I find they provide a subtle sweetness), sliced fresh mozzarella (melted on patty), a basil leaf, and caramelized onions.
Enjoy your mouthful of deliciousness!
