The 40th Annual People's Choice Awards will kick off the 2014 red carpet fashion and style season, and on Jan. 8, Hollywood’s talented fashionistas will show off this year’s best fashion trends. From who’s wearing whom and what, to who will make the best or worst dressed on the red carpet, fashion fans are looking forward to what’s hot and what’s not.
For fashion devotees, the People's Choice Awards are a fashion preview of the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and ultimately, the Academy Awards.
Country superstar and “American Idol” alum, Carrie Underwood always looks like she is having fun on the red carpet, and the 2010 People’s Choice Awards was no exception. Underwood wore a Christian Cota dress paired with Rock & Republic heels and a Lauren Merkin clutch. She completed her look with her jewels from her favorite jeweler, Johnathon Arndt, who we are sure she will rock again at the 2014 People’s Choice Awards.
This year, Underwood is up for a Favorite Country Artist Award, against The Band Perry, Blake Shelton, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift.
According to CBS News, this year’s People’s Choice Awards will be hosted by “2 Broke Girls” stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs. Attendees include Drew Barrymore, Robert Downey Jr., Zac Efron, Anna Faris, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Queen Latifah, Juliana Margulies, Melissa McCarthy, Shemar Moore, Ian Somerhalder, Britney Spears, Miles Teller, and Justin Timberlake, among many others.
The People’s Choice Awards celebrates movies, TV and music, and will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
