People Magazine's "Sexiest Men Alive" issue hit newstands this week, its pages filled with the most devilishly handsome hunks of 2009. Among this year's selection are two of the highly desired vampires from HBO's smash hit series True Blood, Alexander Skarsgard and Stephen Moyer!
Skarsgard, who plays the wickedly seductive vampire Sheriff, Eric Northman, was dubbed the "Sexiest Bad Boy" (no surprise there) while Moyer, now famous for his debonaire southern gentlemen of a vampire, Bill Compton, was given the title of "Most Smoldering". Indeed this has one been one amazing year of awards and accolades for the cast of True Blood with these two new mentions cementing the show as definitely one steamy culture-defining contribution to the genre.
Also included in the magazine's 2009 list of 110 men are such obvious names as Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds, Robert Downey Jr. and John Legend. And, of course, the other vampire phenomena Twilight received a nod with the inclusion of Robert Pattinson.
