Gentlemen, are you in need of some serious relationship skills but don’t want to fork over your life savings? Well look no further. People House Counselor interns Dorothy Wallis and Lindsey Bohlender are offering up a free workshop to individuals and couples.
Participants will be doing experiential exercises with their partner or in small groups with others to learn new ways of relating. The skills from these exercises will build upon each other.
Topics to be covered include:
- 5 Strategies that destroy communication and relationships
- The untapped power of cherishing
- Speaking with love
- How to go after what you want
- Give generously
- Appropriate boundaries
- How to move into repair and resolution when conflicts arise
- Create deeper connection and intimacy
Dates: June 25 & 26
Time: 10:00am-5:00pm (please arrive at 9:45)
Place: People House 3035 West 25th Avenue Denver
Cost: All People House “Heart of Service” community programs are free, however a donation of $20/individual, $35/couple is suggested for this 2 day seminar

Please note, the workshop is a full 2 day workshop, not a choice of 1 day out of 2. Attendees can bring a lunch or grab a bite at a local eatery.
Dorothy Wallis Bio:
Dorothy joins with individuals, couples and families in creating a safe sanctuary to tap into each one's natural ability to expand into the fullest expression of self. As a fellow traveler and guide, she walks with you through grief, loss, life transitions, and relational issues while fostering self-worth, mindfulness, empowerment, and clarity using practical tools. A meditation facilitator since 1993 and completing her MA in counseling, she incorporates experiential, EFT and Relational Life Therapy. Dorothy is a Marriage and Family therapist intern, receiving her Masters in MFT from Regis University and completing her internship at People House. She has also completed Terrence Real’s relationship empowerment program (RLT relationship life therapy) for Marriage and Family therapists.
Lindsey Bohlender Bio:
Lindsey is completing her MA in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education, with a focus in couple and family counseling, at the University of Colorado Denver. She believes people have unlimited potential to heal and grow. Lindsey has completed several workshops on emotionally focused couple therapy, a therapeutic approach that helps couples reconnect and form secure, supportive relationships. She welcomes individuals, couples, adolescents, and families.
People House is a non-profit, non-religious spiritual organization dedicated to fostering conscious awareness of body, mind and spirit in individuals, families and groups through fellowship, education, facilitation and leadership training.
