People fear job losses due to sequester

Alan Hamberg has worked for the National Park system for a few years. He hoped to keep his job until retirement.

But now because of the sequester arrangement, he is not sure if he will be able to maintain his position. "I love my job and I love helping preserve nature. But I am not sure how long I will be employed because of budget cuts," said Hamberg, a Miami resident.

Brad Simmons works for the federal government in Miami. "A lot of people are going to be hurt by the sequester. I think my job is safe but I have some friends who may lose their jobs," said Simmons.

Linda Bragg said she is concerned about the effects of the sequester. She also works for the federal government in Miami. "I love my job and the benefits it provides. I hope I can keep my job," said Bragg.
