People enraged over Walmart store racist announcement “All blacks need to leave the store.” An investigation is underway at a New Jersey Walmart store after an announcement was made Sunday evening, telling “All blacks need to leave the store.”
A male voice made the announcement at the Turnersville, New Jersey Walmart store. Store managers contacted the police department, and an investigation was opened.
"The incident is being investigated by both law enforcement agencies as a suspected bias intimidation crime," local authorities said.
A spokesman for Walmart, Lorenzo Lopez said that Walmart is "just as appalled by this as anyone." "Whoever did this is wrong and acted in an inappropriate manner," Lopez said. "Clearly this is unacceptable," CNN reported.
The message was made through one of the phones in the store, and the police are reviewing security camera video, but not all of the phones are covered with a camera.
"We don't think it was an associate, but we are working with police to make that proper determination," said Lopez. "The 24-hour superstore has some 700 employees, many of them part-time," Lopez said.
Many customers who were in store at the time are upset by the announcement. Walmart is doing everything they can to find out what happened.
Utah has 34 Walmart Super Centers, 2 discount stores, 5 neighborhood markets, 8 Sam's Clubs and 3 distribution centers, and as of September 2009 Walmart employed over 17,000 people in Utah.

Would have been much funnier if the announcer sent them to the back of the store
Thanks for the update Marci.
he could have asked thiefs and people using stolen credit cards to leave lol
There is 2 numbers for intercom usage in stores and they don't change them. Maybe after this they will all have either different numbers or they change every year.
