People consume more food on Superbowl Sunday than any other day of the year

My husband is a football fan, but he is insulin dependent diabetic, had quintuple bypass surgery, 5 stents, high cholesterol, and much more. However I can't have him giving up the fun food that is associated with the Superbowl.

This week we went to the supermarket and picked up chips, dips, pizza, diet soda, and other fun foods.  However, yesterday I went to the local produce stand, and bought baby tomatoes, greens for salad, strawberries, and cherries.

These types of produce brighten up the table, but are also healthy, and good for you.  With this month being American Heart month, it is only fitting to add healithy food items to your Superbowl party.
