Pensions and Privatization Await General Assembly

Tomorrow, the State General Assembly returns from it's Spring recess, and several issues of interest to working Pennsylvanians and their allies are sure to be at the top of the agenda.

The major issue is the State Budget, due June 30. In the discussion of this, issues like pension and liquor privatization are sure to come up.

Issues such as charter school reform and special education funding, that may have an indirect effect on educators and education, may also be taken up. Opportunities for action will be noted as they are received.

Tuesday, June 3, the "Raise The Wage PA" rally will be held at the State Capitol, interested parties can still join the event through it's Facebook page.
