This pre-Disney version of Pinocchio is from a 1930 play by Yasha Frank which was based on the original 1883 novel. The story is told in rhyme and includes amazing costumes for the characters though you won't find Jiminy Cricket among them. This classic version is packed full of amazement: music, circus acts, and adventure. Directed by Gary Minyard, the production is done as theater-in-the-round, with four adults and an alternating cast of 42 children.

The Pennsylvania Youth Theatre is a nonprofit performing arts organization with the mission of educating, entertaining, and enriching the lives of young people and their families through the art of theatre. Their performing arts school offers a full curriculum including acting, dance and voice instructions: 55 performing arts classes are attending yearly by over 400 students ages four through eighteen!
