The Peninsula Hotels and famed international fashion designer Oscar de la Renta have teamed to launch a collection of new bathroom amenities. The collaboration with The Peninsula is the first time de la Renta has entered into a partnership with another brand.
The de la Renta company, established in 1965, produces a full line of women’s accessories, bridal, children's wear, fragrance, beauty and home décor in addition to its signature women’s ready-to-wear collection.
Guests of The Peninsula Hotels worldwide can experience the elegant and aromatic world of the esteemed designer through his exclusive range of bathroom amenities created especially for The Peninsula. The unisex fragrance, developed in partnership with Firmenich, is described as a “citrus aromatic floral musk,” with top notes of mandarin and bergamot mingling with cardamom and freesia to create an initial sparkling impression, while jasmine and violet, white and green tea create a balanced bouquet of purity.
The scent transitions into warmth and softness as musks and cedar combine with blonde woods and tonka for what is called “sensual pure luxury.”
The amenity collection includes shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion, each presented in clear 50ml recyclable bottles with dark blue caps in a custom-designed rose shape, together with packaged soap in two sizes.
The Peninsula Hotels’ amenity line was produced for Oscar de la Renta by Gilchrist & Soames, one of the more respected spa, bath and body brands in the world. Gilchrist & Soames’ products are found in the most prestigious hotels, spas, and resorts throughout the world. The company has been a partner of The Peninsula Hotels for more than five years.
