Peninsula boys join Cuban singers for February concert

The Ragazzi Boys Chorus will host their comrades Camerata Vocale Sine Nomine de Cuba for a cross cultural concert on February 26.

The ¡Cuba-Capella! concert will be held at the Sequoia High School Carrington Hall, 1201 Brewster Street in Redwood City beginning at 6 p.m.

Camerata Vocale Sine Nomine de Cuba hosted the 2011 Ragazzi Boys Chorus 2011 tour in Cuba.

This is the last stop of their United States concert tour for the musicians of Sine Nomine. They bring a repertoire Renaissance polyphony, to American spirituals, to songs by contemporary Spanish and Cuban composers.

Formed in 2003, Sine Nomine is an a cappella men’s chorus that has performed in major concert halls in Cuba, Mexico and Spain. Directed by conductor Leonor Suárez Dulzaides, Sine Nomine's music has been featured in two films.

¡Cuba-Capella! is supported by Redwood City Educational Foundation, the Redwood City Cultural Commission, Music for Minors, Redwood City and ACFEA tour consultants.

Tickets are $5 for Adults and free for children with reservation.
