The Pittsburgh Penguins wrap up preseason play tonight in Detroit against the Red Wings in their final tune-up before the regular season starts October 3rd. The Penguins will feature a lineup that looks similar to the one that will face the New Jersey Devils in the season opener. The Red Wings’ lineup is missing a couple stars, but isn’t as stripped down as the Blackhawks’ roster was on Monday.

When and where: Joe Lewis Arena (Detroit, MI); 7:30 pm/et (Root sports, FS-D+, NHL Network)

Records: Penguins (2-2-1, 5 pts.); Red Wings (2-3-0, 4 pts.)

Injuries:

Penguins: D Brian Dumoulin (upper body), G Tomas Vokoun (blood clot)

Red Wings: C Darren Helm (partially torn disc on lower back), RW Patrick Eaves (sprained left MCL/ankle), G Jonas Gustavsson (groin), RW Jordin Tootoo (shoulder), RW Daniel Alfredsson (groin)

Notes:

-No Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg, or Niklas Kronwall for the Wings tonight.

-Daniel Alfredsson is still dealing with a bit of a groin injury.

-Marc-Andre Fleury is in net for Pittsburgh, guessing he plays the entire games as Jeff Zatkoff did on Monday night.

-Tomas Vokoun was released from the hospital, but there is no timetable for his return.
