Neal and Penguins' sniper Chris Kunitz also had a pair of points. Neal had a goal and an assist, while Kunitz had two helpers. Crosby and Kunitz were also very defensively responsible as they were a +3 each.
The Flames actually bounced back nicely in this one. They were down 4-1 with just over a minute left in the third period before Michael Cammalleri and Jiri Hudler scored to make the game very interesting.
The Flames were also hit with the injury bug. Forward Curtis Glencross, who missed 15 games already this season with a sprained medial collateral ligament, injured his knee in the first period. Meanwhile defenseman Kris Russell was also injured.
With the loss, the Flames drop to 13-17-6 and the Penguins improve to 27-10-1.
The Flames will next play on Monday against the St. Louis Blues at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
