Penelope Cruz is the latest addition to the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Walking the blue carpet premiere in London on Thursday the actress opened up on how it was to step into a role of a lifetime, especially in a film that is already has a developed series.
"I mean I felt invited. It was an honor as I am a fan of these movies,” Penelope Cruz said when asked about her first time on set. “I love working with Johnny again and Rob Marshall again.”
The premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean is the second in two days where the cast has taken time to introduce the movie to the public. On Tuesday Penelope Cruz and Johnny Depp were in Moscow talking to the Russian fans and attending the premiere. With big star power like Penelope Cruz on the blue carpet, the fans definitely want to hear about her experience with the character she portrays.
“They gave me an opportunity to play a female pirate and a very interesting character that was colored and contradiction,” said Penelope Cruz.
The London Premiere definitely had plenty of Scallywags and fans waiting about the red carpet for the chance to see Penelope Cruz and Johnny Depp. According to the Brits who made the trek, the two signed autographs for over an hour and thanked the fans for their support of the movie.
