After photos of Penelope Cruz in Costa Rica surfaced rumors began buzzing of an alleged baby bump. The actress, who is on set of her latest film 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' confirmed through her representative that she is in fact pregnant, and that she and husband Javier Bardem are expecting their first child together this Winter.
"Penelope is 4½-months pregnant," the 'Blow' star's rep confirmed to Us Weekly. Cruz and new husband Javier Bardem wed in a secret ceremony in July, fueling pregnancy rumors. The couple met on the set of their movie 'Vicky, Christina, Barcelona' which co-stared Scarlett Johansson. Before meeting Bardem, Cruz famously dated her other co-stars, Matthew McConaughey and Tom Cruise.
Penelope Cruz was born in Madrid. She made a name for herself in Hollywood starring next to Johnny Depp in 'Blow' and Tom Cruise in 'Vanilla Sky,' both in 2001. Cruz won an Oscar in 2009, for the film in which she met her husband.
