According to CNN's Political Ticker, 9/22/13, Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated that if she were to run and be elected President, Hillary Clinton would be among the "most prepared" of recent incoming Presidents, including her husband, former President Bill Clinton. Pelosi cited Clinton's experiences as First Lady, U.S. Senator from New York and as Secretary of State as qualifiers for her Presidential run. Pelosi, in a Sunday morning interview on CNN's program "State of the Union," cited Clinton as being more prepared for the Presidency than either George W Bush or Barrack Obama were at the times that they ran for President. Pelosi then stated that the elder President Bush, George Herbert Walker Bush, 41, was prepared for the Presidency because he had been Vice-President for eight years. Pelosi then qualified her statement by saying that she was talking about "recent" Presidents when comparing Clinton's qualifications with those of other Presidents.
The article discussed Vice-President Joe Biden and his chances in a Democratic Presidential primary. According to the article, Biden is favored only by 10% of likely voters in a Democratic primary; whereas Hillary is favored among 65% of the same voters. When asked who she would support, Pelosi stated that she would let us know if and when the perspective candidates announce their candidacies. However, Pelosi did state:
I think it would be magnificent for America to have a woman president. I think it would be just wonderful."
