A Florida teacher likely wishes she could wash her hands of this crime. 58-year-old Jennifer Forshey, an administrator at the Broward Community Charter School in Coral Springs, was arrested and charged with battery after she forced a 10-year-old boy to unclog a school urinal with his bare hands, reports CBS News on Friday.
In the twisted punishment, Forshey allegedly accused the student of clogging a urinal with paper towels, and then forced the boy to use his hands to clean out the urine soaked blockage.
The third grade teacher was arrested Wednesday and charged with “battery of a child by exposure to urine,” according to the Coral Springs Police Department.
“It's a third degree felony and it encompasses urine, feces, bodily fluids, stuff like that,” Coral Springs Sgt. Carla Kmiotek said. If convicted, the pee punisher could be sentenced to five years in jail.
"Victims hands were saturated in what smelled like urine from the urinal and the paper towel that was in the urinal," the police report said.
The boy, whose name is not being released, denies shoving the paper towels into the urinal. To make matters worse, it wasn’t even his urine that was standing in the clogged urinal, and furthermore, there was no soap on hand in the bathroom for him to even wash his hands after his disgusting clean up duties were done.
The child told his mother, who then went to the school the next day and reported the incident to the principal. The mother later brought the matter to the Coral Springs police.
“She only thinks what she did was wrong because she is in trouble for it,” the police report continued. “Otherwise, she does not see anything wrong with exposing a child to urine.”
Forshey echoed her position with CBS News.
“I didn’t do anything illegal,” Forshey told CBS Miami as she left jail on bond Thursday morning.
I'll say this much. At least she's not making us a pizza...
