Visit Peddler’s Village in Bucks County this weekend, Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13, for the second annual Bluegrass & Blueberries Festival. Enjoy two full days of festive blueberry treats and family-friendly entertainment from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. In honor of National Blueberry Month, there will be delicious treats, lively bluegrass and country music, children’s activities and more.
Taste blueberry treats of every variety. Pints of fresh local blueberries, blueberry syrup, preserves, jelly and more will be available from Bechdolt’s Orchard. And just about every restaurant and food shop at Peddler’s Village has created something special to share. From blueberry waffles at Cock ‘n Bull to blueberry margaritas at Buttonwood Grill and blueberry gelato from Pigadilly’s, there’s plenty to eat and drink all day long. Grab a treat to eat while you stroll the Village, or bring some favorites home with you. Town Crier Bakery will offer blueberry shortcake, bread, scones, muffins, doughnuts, pies and more.
As if the food wasn’t enough, there are plenty of other activities going on as well. As the name suggests, the most prominent form of entertainment will be in the form of regional bluegrass performances with plenty of country, bluegrass and “newgrass” to be heard. Put on your dancing shoes, and join in with Vintage Country, Raven Hill Bluegrass Band, Mountain Laurel and more local groups. And like all festivals at Peddler’s Village, children will enjoy activities like face painting, balloon art, a stiltwalker and more. Of course, a visit to Peddler’s Village wouldn’t be complete without at least a little shopping. Many of the shops will offer special deals for the occasion.
Practice your do-si-do and come on over to Peddler’s Village to celebrate National Blueberry Month and bluegrass tunes July 12 and July 13.
