Celebrate National Strawberry Month with a Bucks County tradition going back 45 years. This weekend, May 3 and May 4, Peddler’s Village welcomes guests of all ages for the Annual Strawberry Festival. Enjoy two full days of festive strawberry treats and family-friendly entertainment from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Taste strawberry treats of every variety throughout the Village. While there will be pints of fresh strawberries available for purchase, you won’t want to miss all of the goodies available from the shops. Skip’s Candy Corner will have chocolate-covered strawberries. Pigadilly’s Ice Cream will be serving strawberry ice cream by the cone or as a sundae. Town Crier Bakery will offer strawberry shortcakes, pies, cupcakes, cannoli, danish, fritters and more. And if you’d rather drink your strawberries, visit Chaddsford Winery Tasting Room.

At 3 p.m. sharp both days, all eyes will be on the balcony on the main green for the strawberry pie eating contest. Contestants will compete in three categories: ages 10 and under, 11-14, and 15 and over. Sign up at the Hospitality Booth on the main green by 2:45 for a chance to participate. Six contestants in each category will be chosen in a random drawing.

In case you want to get in a strawberry meal instead of just eating treats, the Cock n’ Bull will also feature strawberry-themed dishes in honor of the festival. Stop by their outdoor food tent to try a shake n’ go version of their strawberry feta salad. Or come inside to enjoy your salad along with strawberry barbecue baby back ribs for lunch or beef tenderloin with a strawberry shitake demi glaze for dinner. Finish your meal with a strawberry chocolate tart for dessert.

As if the food wasn’t enough, there are plenty of other activities going on as well. Check out local musicians performing throughout the Village including the Bucks County Woman’s Chorus, Mango Men, Tony Alosi, The Big Chill and more. There will be plenty of activities for kids, and don’t forget to check out unique handcrafted items from over 50 vendors on the Street Road Green.

Take advantage of the beautiful weather and bring the whole family out for fun at the Peddler’s Village Annual Strawberry Festival Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4.

Peddler’s Village is home to over 70 specialty shops, six restaurants and the newly-renovated Golden Plough Inn. For more information, visit Or click here for a complete schedule of entertainment.
